The staff here, they made the experience special. One night, after realizing I was a little under the weather, they sent up a pot of homemade chicken soup which was exactly what I needed.

It wasn’t inexpensive, but I’ll be damned if it wasn’t worth it.

I faced a couple of hiccups. The remote for the TV was temperamental, and the bathroom door got stuck once, but the staff responded quickly to both issues. I also found the hot water in the shower a bit unpredictable during peak times, which was a minor inconvenience. My stay felt personal, and each detail was attended to with care, making it well worth the visit.

I was disappointed with the breakfast. The full English was overcooked, the bacon was crispy and the fried eggs were too hard. It was surprising given the high standards everywhere else. I expected better for such a lovely place.

After an upgrade, the room I ended up in had a toilet issue, with a cistern that ran constantly—pretty annoying for a stay meant for relaxation. while the hotel has some charming features, it lacks certain practical elements like a tall mirror in the room, which would have been a nice touch. The accessibility options felt a bit quirky. for someone with mobility challenges, I found the large step to the toilet in the upgraded room a bit perplexing and somewhat bothersome during my two-night stay.

I just had a lovely stay that exceeded my expectations. The spa offered a much-needed foot massage and a relaxing sauna that really helped us unwind after exploring the city all day. Only minor downside was some noise from a guest on her phone during breakfast, but it didn’t ruin our experience—definitely try the hotel’s breakfast! 😊
